"The Greek people do not owe any debt"- KKE MEP Sotiris Zarianopoulos at the EU Parliament

"The people do not owe any debt to pay for. The disengagement from the EU, the overthrow of the capital's authority, under workers power is the only way for their survival" underlined Sotiris Zarianopoulos, MEP of the KKE (Communist Party of Greece) during the discussion for the "Deepening of the EMU by 2025" at the European Parliament plenary.

More analytically, Zarianopoulos said:

"As an interstate alliance of the capital, the European Union cannot overcome capitalism's DNA: assymetry of economic devepoment and social exploitation. A part of monopolies and states promote even further the (EUs) unification, under one or many speeds, strengthening of european semesters, connection of the capital's financing with the intensification of antiworkers reforms. They are competing with other parts which develop centrifugal trends, protectionism, expressed through bourgeois euroscepticism.

They compete (each other) on who will be more benefited by a low, uncertain recovery, an anteroom of a new crisis.

They all agree in one thing: escalation of the antipeople attack everywhere, without end.

The Greek debt, which will be discussed the day after tomorrow in the Eurogroup, mirrors such contradictions.

The prerequisite for its regulation and quantitative easing mean further, permanent slaughter of wages, pensions and subsidies, blood surpluses for decades, new motives for the capital, subsidies, tax-breaks.

The people do not owe any debt to pay for. The disengagement from the European Union, the overthrow of the capital's authority under workers power is the only way for their survival".
